Dear friends of Kursk Ministries!
During my long silence (sorry, I was too busy), we accumulated so much of good news. Now, as I am in US, I have time to write you and share what God has done:
TVS (Trinity Video Seminary) www.russiadistancelearning.com news:
1. The preparations for our TVS team of two going to US to videotape 4+ master level courses at Trinity www.tiu.edu (see the attached schedule) were finally completed! We arrived in Chicago on July 18. Through His faithful people God provided for Misha, our main technical brain and video lab director, and me good places to stay, car to move around, and much needed additional light and video equipment to do this great job! MIsha will stay with me in US till Sept 4 and will lead me in setting up and videotaping courses in four different TEDS classrooms. I was afraid to be left alone with all this work after Sept 4, but looks like God is going to send me some assistants to move in and out the classrooms all our very heavy equipment, set it all up, videotape for 3 hours, and pack it all back three times a week. Praise the Lord! Our trip budget is very limited because our Kursk school (TVS) budget is in red now, but God is sending Trinity PH.D. students to help us for free! Praise the Lord!
2. Orphanage and youth ministry news:
-This year School of life Piloting program was a great blessing!┬а Ilya Fadeev and his team were training orphanage graduates to enter life and be able to trust the Lord, find guidance in the Bible, manage money, find job and care for the family. Orphanages’ leadership was so surprise as they saw great changes and growing maturity in these who were trained during the last year. Please pray for the finances for the next year program.
– Today at least three shifts of summer camps are going on in Kursk area; two shifts and a kayak trip had been completed by now. I am sending some of the camp reports in the separate email. Four more summer camps are about to start; totally over 700 kids and their parents will hear the Gospel this summer on our camps! Please pray for safety; protection and saving work of Holy Spirit so many would be saved!
3 Prison ministry is growing fast we have two more Bible study groups in the prisons now: one in the juvenile prison, another in the woman prison. Praise the Lord! I plan to send you our prison ministry report next week.
4. Family news:
– Our family was all together for two weeks тАУ Cornil (15) has completed 9th grade in US school and was accepted to IMSA тАУ one of the best school in US! www3.imsa.edu
Andy (21) continues to work for www.giftbaskets.com. He has to work over nights serving US customers and sometimes we have hard time waking him up to go to the church in the Sunday morning J. Andy and Victor were serving as the interpreters for great missionary team from St. Lois recently. They visited several orphanages, schools, churches and villages during this campaign. Victor (24) is very active in the church youth and summer camps and orphanage programs. Right now he is serving as a team leader in our church summer camp. He has successfully completed his 4th year in the university. We pray that God would send him good Christian spouse some day.
Svetlana (few years over 18 for me) is as busy as usual taking care for all of us, two-three people in the hospitals who are going through the surgeries, her Bible study group in the nursing home, and many other needy people. How come she sees them (or they find her) all the time! J. Please pray for her health (knees, blood pressure). Pray also that she will be able to handle all our family and ministry needs during my very long absence.
Please, pray also for Misha and mine health and safety while we are doing courses video recording. I we get sick, all the project will be mixed up.
There will be several free week ands and you may want to look at my schedule to pick up good time to invite me. I will be honored to be invited to visit you and your church!;а I can come on the Infinity J30 1995, which we are driving now, for a long distanceI will need an air ticket, since our fin recourses are very limited.
But our spiritual resources are refilled every day and I will be so glad to share God’s blessings with you!
